Overview
EMC is a unique not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping manufacturers grow and become more competitive at home and around the world. They provide up to 130 youth (ages 16-20) with short-term work placements, micro-credential training and offer employers support costs to assist with participants’ onboarding.
Objectives
- Create community connections between employers, educators, school boards and related community and workforce support organizations.
- Career exploration in high school through work experience and increase pathways from high school to industry.
- Create awareness of manufacturing industry with key influencers (teachers, guidance counsellors, parents)
- Youth provided job readiness training and real work experience.
