The options are endless when you think of ways that these books could be used. Middle school and high school educators may see ways to incorporate these titles in to their classrooms as well. There may be opportunities for older students to share books with those in younger grades and/or to write their own children’s books on Career Connected Learning.
Key Highlights:
- Books that explore individuality, self-esteem, and interests are helpful for children as they observe the world around them, take in information, notice patterns, and try to make sense of what they observe and experience. This includes the world of work and the occupational pathways that they observe adults doing.
- The work of educators is to help facilitate children’s thinking, exploring, and experiencing career pathways and the development of a simple, foundational understanding of how people prepare themselves for future career pathways. To learn more refer to the New Brunswick Career Education Framework.
