Career Life Plan Workshop #2: Five Assessments & Identifying Pathways of Interest

Overview:

A monthly workshop on the Career Life Plan graduation requirement is being offered during the 2025-26 school year.

Workshop #2 provides an overview of the five Who Am I assessments in myBlueprint (learning styles, personality, interests, knowledge, and motivation) and guides educators on how to support students in using their results to identify career life pathways of interest. Participants will also learn how to help students explore occupations, favourite at least two matches, and connect their findings to their Career Life Plan portfolio.

Each month the workshop recording and associated resources will be made available to school staff. Associated resources include:

Objectives:

  • Understand the five Who Am I assessments and their role in student self-discovery.
  • Support students in completing and reflecting on the assessments.
  • Help students explore and favourite at least two career pathways.
  • Learn how to integrate occupations and assessment results into the Career Life Plan portfolio.

Instructions:

  • Guide students through completing the Who Am I surveys in myBlueprint.
  • Encourage students to review their Match Results tab.
  • Have students favourite a minimum of two occupation matches.
  • Support students in adding occupations to their Career Life Plan portfolio.
  • Use journal prompts and lesson plans to deepen reflection and planning.
